Ryan Thomas’ girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh says it’s time to leave Roxanne Pallett alone

She spoke out in the new issue of OK! Magazine

Ryan Thomas’ girlfriend has questioned whether Roxanne Pallett’s public apologies to him were completely genuine, but has said either way, it’s time for Roxanne to be left alone.

In a new interview with OK! Magazine, former TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh, 27, said the time has come to “draw a line” under the controversy surrounding Roxanne.

Former Emmerdale star Roxanne, 35, made headlines when she accused Ryan, 34, of punching her during what appeared to be a play fight.

Ryan, who apologised and said there was no malice, was given a formal warning by Big Brother and was seen crying and looking visibly distressed in the diary room.

After quitting the show, Roxanne admitted she’d “got it wrong” and issued two public apologies to Ryan and his loved ones – on Channel 5’s Jeremy Vine and in an interview with Emma Willis on CBB – for making the accusation.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, Lucy said: “I have my reservations about whether her apologies were genuine but she’s said what she needed to say and it can’t have been easy for her to face the music like that.”

Lucy continued: “As long as she now gets the help she needs then I think it’s time we all draw a line under it. The most important thing for me is that she never does this to anyone else.

“‘To me, her interviews with Emma and Jeremy seemed like a performance and something she knew she needed to do.

“As long as she goes away and works on her problems I think she should be left alone and I think Ryan would agree.”
