Celebrity Big Brother has responded to claims adult film star Stormy Daniels dropped out of the show last-minute.

Various rumours have been swirling about why Stormy didn’t enter the house on Thursday night despite being one of the famous faces heavily linked to the new series.

A statement issued by Big Brother on Friday afternoon said: “Stormy Daniels was booked to appear on the show several months ago and hours before the show was due to go live, informed the production team that she no longer wished to enter the house as previously agreed.

“Producers discussed a variety of options with her but were unable to agree any acceptable conditions for her entering the house.

“Our focus is now on making a brilliant series with our fantastic celebrities.”

The statement came after Stormy, 39, was due to appear on ITV’s Loose Women on Friday afternoon but the interview failed to happen.

Loose Women’s Jane Moore explained to viewers she’d spoken to Stormy backstage and the interview would not go ahead as planned, much to Stormy’s disappointment.

According to Jane, Stormy’s reason for pulling out of CBB was a “custody development” in the US, which she learned about shortly before the live launch.

She said Stormy wanted to put her child first and being in the CBB house would mean being out of contact with the wider world for weeks.

Stormy also told Jane that she’d requested to appear on the CBB launch show anyway to explain dropping out, and bosses agreed before changing their minds.

Jane told the panel: “Needless to say, it has all become a legal situation with lawyers talking to lawyers and she says she has been told she can’t come and talk to us, but she wants to be sitting here.”

A rep for CBB denied the claim when contacted by Loose Women.

Meanwhile, Stormy also rubbished claims she didn’t take part in CBB after a dispute over her pay cheque. A tabloid alleged she wanted a bigger fee but Stormy denied that, insisting it was never about the money.

She told Jane she’d intended to donate her CBB launch show fee to charity.

According to BBC News, Stormy’s lawyer, Michael Avenatti, has also branded the speculation about Stormy’s pay cheque a “false rumour”.
