A teenager who was abducted as a baby found out the truth two years ago, but still stayed with her kidnapper.
Kamiyah Mobley was taken from her mum at hospital just eight hours after she was born, by a lady posing as a nurse.
The kidnapper – Gloria Williams – gave her the name Alexis Manigo.
Last week police arrested Williams, and she is facing charges for kidnapping.
Police now believe that Alexis, 18, knew the truth about her ‘mother’ before Gloria was arrested.
Manigo’s ‘half-sister’, Arika Williams, has revealed that the victim knew as long as two years ago when she got a job at a restaurant and needed her birth certificate.

Arika told People: “Lexy didn’t have that so she asked Miss Gloria for it and Miss Gloria kept brushing it off.
“Lexy kept being hard on her mother, like ‘Momma, where is my stuff? I want to get this job.’ Then Miss Gloria just broke down and told her this is why right here, you can’t do this. I kidnapped you.
“She was upset about it.
“She even stayed home from school the next day.”

Alexis was reunited with biological parents, Craig and Shanara, who know her as Kamiya. They chose not to discuss the kidnapping.
Craig said: “We laughed, we chatted, we didn’t allow any negative thoughts.
“We didn’t talk about the kidnapping. It’s going to be hard for her to turn this into a positive.
“She’s got very mixed emotions about the woman who raised her.
“But we are going to be there for her, this is just the start of a wonderful future.”

He added: “First meeting was beautiful, it was wonderful, couldn’t went no better… she was glad to meet us.
“It’s a feeling that you can’t explain.
“It’s hard to put it in words right now. It’s hard to deal with this here right now.” He added: “We are just trying to process it… 18 years… it’s going to be hard to make that up.”
After Gloria’s arrest, she blew a kiss to her ‘daughter’ who was separated by a mesh screen.
The sobbing teen then told her: “I love you, Momma.”
Kamiyah/Alexis later defended her kidnapper on Facebook: “She raised me with everything I needed and most of all everything I wanted. My mother is no felon. The ignorant ones won’t understand that.”
Kamiyah was snatched on July 10, 1998 when Williams entered the room and told the family her temperature needed to be checked.
Williams took the baby, and fled the hospital.
Williams had suffered from a miscarriage a week before she drove three hours to take the newborn tot.
It is believed she then passed off Kamiyah as her own daughter to family and friends, who said they never suspected a thing.
Williams, who was employed as a social worker and attended church every Sunday, could face up to life in prison if convicted.
