Mum sends friend £325 bill after child came home with pen on shoes

Sarah Bryan was furious the Italian leather boots were dirty

A mum sent her friend an invoice of £325 to replace her daughter’s “Italian leather” shoes after they were marked by pen during a play-date.

This is NOT a joke.

Sarah Bryan was furious when she spotted the damage on three-year-old Isabella’s designer shoes.

The mum-of-two immediately sent her friend Nicola Gibbs an invoice demanding she pay up or else.

Sarah told The Sun: “If your child comes back with scratches on their body, you’d be like ‘what’s happened?’

“It’s the same with her shoes. She’s not supposed to go outside with them.

“Wherever she goes, she goes with a bag of other shoes.”

What on Earth?! The child is THREE!”

She added: “Obviously shoes get scuffed on the soles, but these look like they’ve been worn for a year, not for a few hours.

“There’s also a big black mark on the toe where they’ve been drawn on. I was devastated when I saw them.”

The email posted to The Sun reads: “So [my daughter]  has just come home from her playdate with your child and I am disgusted to see her new Italian leather shoes are all scuffed and have a Sharpie Mark on them.

“Below is the bill for these replacing because they can not be fixed these are fine Italian leather!

“As a designer I do not want my child looking anything less than pristine.

“Bill for a replacement pair of Italian fur booties £325 to be paid by 01/02/2017 before I take this higher

“Thank you, Sarah”.

Sarah adds that her daughter has about 60 pairs of shoes and will only wear designer labels.

Got that?

Friend Nicola has refused to pay up, saying: “I don’t know what her problem is to be honest.

“She must have more money than sense if shes going to pay that much for a pair of shoes for her daughter and then complain when they get ruined.

“Kids are kids, they get messy, they ruin things, that’s life.

“She needs to get over it because no amount of bills she sends me will make me pay for the shoes.

“I’d advise her next time to send her daughter out in wellies or if she wants to dress something up try Toys ‘R’ Us.”

Good for you Nicola!
