Depressed mum-of-two credits Katie Price with saving her life

Rebecca Target was inspired by Pricey's work ethic and business empire

A mother-of-two has revealed that Katie Price inspired her after being at the lowest point of her life.

Rebecca Target was overweight, and got so down that she tried to end her life, shortly before being hospitalised.

But the 34-year-old turned her whole life around after reading through the pages of Katie Magazine in 2011.

Now a successful business owner, she has created a better life for her two children, Kieran Lee, 12, and Lacey-Elena, eight.

Rebecca also lost three stone, and spent £5,600 on surgery. She had a £4,500 boob job, £1,100 worth of lip fillers and a lot of Botox to fit in with the Essex ladies.

The blonde beauty took a leaf out of Katie Price’s book and started up her own interior decor business called Princess and Princes Fairytale Boutique which ‘blings up’ children’s bedrooms in the typical Pricey style.

Opening up about her darkest days, she said: “I’ve gone through some hard struggles in life and been through the lowest of lows.

“There was a time in life when I was pregnant and living in a hostel– with just a few clothes to my name. But I fought my depression, made money and got back on my feet to support my kids.

Rebecca fell pregnant with her with her son when she was just 22, and had no support from friends or family.

That meant that she had to claim benefits and move into a hostel while she was carrying her child.

“I had nothing, besides a few items of clothing and my baby in my belly. I felt helpless and alone.

“After giving birth to my son, I suffered with postnatal depression. I was very ill and it was hard.

“Being on benefits was the worst feeling in the world – I love going to work and I wanted to be an independent woman for my child.”

“It’s not that I want to be Katie Price but I look up to her – she reminds me of me. And Katie has motivated me in my darkest moments and I feel like I’ve done well. She’s inspired me.”

Talking about her success with her home decor business, she said: “I have an eye for blinging things up – I feel I’ve found my calling through Katie. Interior design is my passion and I want to make my kids proud with my business.”

“I take pride in my appearance now and my home. I’ve always liked Katie Price.

“I admire how she speaks her mind, works hard and has made her own money. She’s achieved so much and its not bad to want to aspire to that.”

Good for you, Rebecca! Maybe Pricey can be a good influence after all…
