Zoe Ball’s son Woody shares beautiful tribute to Billy Yates

Her teenage son wrote that he'll "look after her"

Zoe Ball’s 16-year-old son has shared a message dedicated to his mother’s late boyfriend Billy Yates.

Woody Cook took to Instagram on Tuesday to tell Billy that he will take care of his mum now that she is without her partner.

It was on the day of Billy’s funeral, where the cameraman had a private ceremony.

The teen, who Zoe shares with ex husband Norman Cook, uploaded a photo of a pebbly beach, and family of crabs with the words “Billy Yates 1976-2017” above it.

He then wrote: “I’m sorry we spent so little time together. No one deserves to feel what you felt. I’ll look after her. ❤️”.

Billy, who was just 40, was found hanged at home in Putney, London. He was said to have been going through a deep depression, and had suffered huge financial loss.

Zoe, 46, and Billy had only dated for around six months, but had been madly in love.

The radio presenter later commented on her son’s sweet tribute, and wrote: “Woo my best boy. You make me the proudest mama ever. You blow my mind with your love. 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛”

She also shared her own photo on her Instagram account on the day of his funeral. She said: “Goodnight my beautiful Boy. I’ll be loving you always”.

The star has had to take a break from her work commitments, including her Radio 2 Saturday show, and also cancelled filming a BBC show after Billy’s death.

Despite losing her boyfriend so soon, Zoe still took the time to post a touching message to the victims of the Manchester Attack.

She said she was “thinking of everyone dealing with grief and loss at this time”.
