Zayn Malik’s family heartbroken as five-year-old cousin passes away

The little girl sadly lost her battle with a brain tumour

Zayn Malik’s family have been left heartbroken after his five-year-old Arshiya passed away from a brain tumour in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The singer’s family paid tribute to the little girl saying she was “too beautiful for Earth”.

Arshiya had been battling the horrific illness since 2014.

Arshiya’s mother, Zileh Malik, posted a heartbreaking message alongside a photo of her daughter on Instagram.

She wrote: “An angel wrote in the book of life my baby’s date of birth, then whispered as she closed the book… ‘Too beautiful for earth’ RIP baby doll.”

Zayn’s younger sister Waliyha posted a tribute to the “beautiful princess”.

Sharing a photo of Arshiya cheekily smiling she wrote: “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.

“Rest in peace you beautiful princess, may Allah grant you the highest rank of Jannah.”

Back in 2014 Zayn’s family desperately asked the 24-year-old’s fans to pray for Arshiya.

Cousin Aaroosa Malik, 17, posted photos of Zayn and tiny Arshiya alongside a touching message: “Zayn with Arshiya when she was a baby.

“Please carry on praying for her. It will mean a lot! Thank you.”

Fans have immediately showered the family with love and paid their tributes.

One wrote: “#RIPArshiya So sorry for your loss @zaynmalik she was too young! Rest in peace little Arshiya.”

Another added: “RIP Arshiya heaven gain another angel, my prayers goes to the malik family.”
