Holly Willoughby reveals early Christmas tree on This Morning

Surely December is the only reasonable answer...

It’s a debate that always surfaces this time of the year: when is too soon to put up your Christmas tree?

Traditionally, you’d think at least wait until Halloween is over, right? Get that out of the way first.

But that’s not what’s happened over at This Morning, with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield revealing their studio tree is already up and sparkling.

Look at it! October 18th and the Christmas tree is already up!

Given there are still nine weeks to go until Christmas, it naturally sparked a HUGE amount of debate!

Plenty of viewers were of the firm opinion Halloween and Bonfire Night need to get out of the way first before they’d even consider kick-starting the Xmas fun.

Others said just no, no, no. No way should Christmas start in October.

Reasons included the novelty wearing off if celebrations started too early, and kids getting too excited months in advance.

However, many more were totally Team Christmas Starts As Early As Possible – and some even have their Christmas trees up already, too!

Others pointed out they can do what they want in their own home, and if that means putting up a tree before December, then so what?

Well, Holly seems to be on Team Christmas All-Year Round after revealing she keeps a Christmas wreath hanging in her living room all the time.

She said she loves the wreath so much she couldn’t bear to put it away each year.

When Phil questioned whether it looked Christmassy, a proud Holly said yup! She said the wreath is covered in baubles and very definitely a Christmas decoration.

But hey, as the viewers above said, your house, your rules!

If you want to put your Christmas tree up in October or keep decorations hanging all year in your own home, why not?!
