Well-wishes pours in for Katie Piper as she reveals pregnancy horror

Katie is expecting her second child later this year

| Updated:

Pregnant Katie Piper has revealed she suffered a jellyfish sting on her baby bump during her recent holiday.

The 33-year-old told her Instagram fans that she’d been stung not once but three times after taking a dip in the sea.

Katie is expecting her second child with hubby Richard Sutton in December this year.

The presenter shared snaps of her painful injury on social media and it wasn’t long before concerned fans started showing their support.

Katie captioned the post: ‪”So today wasn’t my best day…..stung by a jelly fish in 3 places one area was my baby bump!‬ 🙈🚑.”

One fan wrote: “Oh no 😔 take care of you and baby.”

Another added: “Ouch that looks awfully painful.”

“Hope you and bump are okay,” a third commented.

Katie announced she and Richard are expecting a baby back in June.

The TV presenter says she is “so thankful” to have another addition to her family after surviving an acid attack almost 10 years ago.

Posting a beautiful photo to her Instagram account, she captioned it: “I’m so excited to tell you all next Father’s Day my husband will be celebrating with two children!!”

She added: “Thank you @hellomaguk the beautiful photos will treasure forever! ”

The couple are already parents to three-year-old daughter Belle.

Chatting to Hello!, she said: “Becoming a mum has enriched my life in ways I never imagined and I feel so thankful to be experiencing that again.

“I have felt really nauseous and tired with this pregnancy and don’t recall it being that way with Belle.

“But I don’t want to sound like I’m moaning because we’re over the moon and really excited.”

Brave Katie has undergone 300 surgical procedures since her ex-boyfriend Daniel Lynch hired Stefan Sylvestre to throw acid in her face in 2008.

She suffered life-changing burns and was left blind in one eye.

Earlier this year the star opened up about how Belle is now starting to ask about her scars.

Katie told The Sun’s Fabulous magazine: “She asks about the scars and I explain: ‘Mummy got burnt’.

“Sometimes she’ll ask if it hurts and I tell her it used to, but not any more. When I go into hospital for operations on my nose she’ll come with me, and she has her own little doctor’s kit.”

Katie added: “She’s recently started asking about it, which I thought was so early.”

The blonde beauty continued: “There are pictures of me in bandages and with my mask on around the house and we’re very open about things, so it won’t be one big reveal one day.

“She’s aware of everything that’s going on, and we tell her what she wants to know when she asks.

“I always try to pass on a positive mind-set to her.

“Of course, I have highs and lows like everyone else, but I make more effort to be positive now because of her.”

She also revealed that her little girl is super excited to be a big sister.

Katie told MailOnline: “She’s so excited, she’s telling everyone else that she’s pregnant as well, which is quite funny considering she’s three.

“She’s got a friend with siblings so she knows what to expect, she says ‘I’m going to look after the baby’.”
