This Morning has been quite a rollercoaster today!
First, fans were baffled at the appearance of Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield – who normally take a break on Fridays, but were present for hosting duty today.
Next, Holly put her foot in it again by asking a clearly confused Amanda Holden about her go-to rules at Christmastime.
But a mystified Amanda had to admit she didn’t have a clue what Holly was on about, and must be confusing her with another guest!
And that comes hot on the heels of Holly revealing a huge Star Wars spoiler on Wednesday, during a live video chat with star John Boyega.
It’s probably for the best that Holly and Phil are taking a little break for the Christmas period, eh? They clearly need it!

And to close today’s show, there was even more turmoil as popular host Rylan announced – in his typical understated style – that was planning on taking a break from the programme.
He said: “I’ve not really said anything but after Christmas I will be going away for a little bit, taking a bit of a break.
“It’s definitely not goodbye but I will be taking a bit of a break for a little bit in the New Year.
“Thank you for everything, it’s been lovely and I will be back.”
Holly – possibly a little bit emotional after some champagne tasting – said: “It’s like our child going off travelling!”
As a final goodbye surprise for Rylan, Holly and Phil then brought out Sister Linda from Channel 5 hit Bad Habits, Holy Orders.
When she appeared on the show back in October, she and Rylan got on like a house on fire – so much so, fans begged This Morning producers to bring her back!
She and Rylan embraced, with Phil and Holly looking on like proud parents.
Viewer reaction to the news was mixed, with some comparing Rylan’s departure to an early Christmas present, while others begged him to stay on.
