Viewers outraged at Amanda Holden’s “inappropriate” Pride of Britain dress

Fans take to Twitter to share their thoughts

Fans have been left fuming on social media about Amanda Holden’s Pride of Britain Awards dress.

Viewers took to Twitter in outrage after the Britain’s Got Talent judge appeared on the red carpet in a purple and white gown that left very little to the imagination with its daring front.

Amanda’s elaborate floor-length cleavage-baring gown by designer Basil Soda showed off her tanned and toned torso as well.

The bottom half of Amanda’s dress was beautifully printed with a floral pattern, and the presenter even fanned it out at one point to show the gown off to its full potential.

Unfortunately for Amanda though, everyone was looking at the top half of her outfit as she braced the chilly autumn weather.

And when it came to sharing their views, fans didn’t hold back on social media. @ourkay Tweeted: “Not a very appropriate dress Amanda Holden for such an emotional awards night.”

@ellrachelx also felt strongly about Amanda’s choice of attire… “I don’t agree to telling women what they can and can’t wear, but Amanda Holden’s dress was beyond inappropriate for the Pride of Britain Awards.”

And @JanetteHalbert agreed: “What was Amanda Holden’s dress all about on Pride of Britain Awards?”

@Victoria_Trace also pointed out that last night was an event with young viewers too: “Amanda Holden constantly feels the need to dress inappropriately at an awards event with children in attendance.”

Some others however, thought the dress was lovely – and that we shouldn’t be focusing on her attire when the stories of the night were so much more important.

Amanda’s no stranger to showing off her incredible figure in daring couture. She often leaves fans divided when it comes to her outfits on Britain’s Got Talent, with one particularly risqué dress receiving 600 official complaints.

The plunging black dress that she wore during the show’s semi finals back in June this year even ended up being Ofcom’s most complained about TV moment of the year so far.

While Amanda might have stolen the limelight on the red carpet, the awards were a huge success and had viewers in floods of tears across the nation as so many amazing people were recognised for their bravery.
