The bailiff revealed he needs a bone marrow transplant to save his life

Can’t Pay? We’ll Take It Away star Delroy Anglin recently revealed that he is battling an aggressive form of leukaemia.

The 56-year-old has now said he desperately needs a bone marrow transplant in order to save his life.

Delroy, who has six children, revealed his condition is terminal but a transplant could turn it around.

Delroy, who is a bailiff on the Channel 5 show, spoke to the Croydon Advertiser and said: “You feel as if someone has pronounced a death sentence.

“At the end of the day, unless somebody says differently – I’m terminal.”

Following his diagnosis the star has been forced to quit the show to make his health top priority.

Talking about the support he’s received he said: “My family have reacted so well. They’ve been absolutely amazing.

“It’s strange, people don’t usually like bailiffs. But I have had so much support, from everyone including complete strangers.”

The debt collector revealed the devastating moment he was told he had cancer, he said: “When they tell you, you’re just hoping someone has made a mistake, but they haven’t.”

Speaking about how his illness has been on his children and how it’s affected himself emotionally Delroy said: “Some react well, some become aware of their own mortality a bit, and hate going to hospitals.”

He added: “Now I’m feeling positive about it. But it won’t go away.

“A transplant would be a game changer. It’s the only way to get rid of it.”
