But we – the viewers – know she’s decided to take the flak for the attack to protect her daughter, Amy, who is one of many in the frame for the murder.

But is Tracy making a big mistake?

Is she wasting her time trying to protect her girl? After all, we’re not entirely sure she is responsible for the wicked crime, even though there is a rather a lot of evidence to suggest that she might be.

In last night’s ep, Tracy went on the run with Rob Donovan and Amy.

As there police closed in, Tracy told Rob to take Amy home and then when the police arrived at the country house they hiding in, confessed that she had chucked her dad down the stairs.

When Ken found out he was devastated and tried to fathom why his own flesh and blood would try to hurt him.

“Seriously?” he uttered,  when Steve broke the news to him after receiving a call from the police.

Although shocked, Liz McDonald sniped: “Well, I always knew she had a dark side.”

When Liz assured him the worst of it was over, Ken said that it was only just the beginning.

“You think it’s over,” he said with tears in his eyes. “The trial. Prison. The affect on Amy. It will never be over as long as I live.”

So what will happen now.

With Tracy in a jail cell, will Amy tell the police that she is protecting Rob?

Will Tracy get sent down again for a crime she didn’t commit?

Well, producers have teased that there are a few more twists and runs in the storyline, and we still have so many suspects to choose from.
