We really do have to applaud Cheryl.

How many other stars can whip the press into a frenzy with a belly flash and without uttering a single word.

We reckon she must have been at home on the sofa watching Corrie with Liam Payne massaging her tootsies having a right old laugh about the press speculation.

She didn’t need to say a thing and the world was going crazy, asking whether or not she was pregnant.

And then all of a sudden – BOOM!

She takes control and releases that L’Oreal picture and confirms it all.

Again, without saying a single word.

Genius!

But if you’re wondering why the former Girls Aloud singer has kept schtum for so long, we have the answer.

According to pals she wanted to take things at her own pace.

“She was scared that after years of bad luck, she may jinx the best thing that ever happened to her, which prompted her to stay silent – despite the fact she’s been wanting to shout about her pregnancy from the rooftops,” a source told Closer magazine.

“Following two public divorces and wanting a baby for so long, Cheryl has been nervous about this pregnancy.

“This is her first child and understandably she’s apprehensive so she’s made a decision not to make a big announcement at the start.”

Cheryl’s bump debut in the L’Oreal campaign was shot back in January when she was believed to be eight months, which means her baby is due any day now.

So Liam better be on hand with hot towels!

She was joined by many stars including Helen Mirren, who came together for the beauty company’s confidence inspiring campaign in association with Prince’s Trust.

Meanwhile, Cheryl recently announced that she is opening a charity centre for disadvantaged young people in Newcastle.

This woman is unstoppable.
