The Duchess of Cambridge shows off her blossoming baby bump

Kate is expecting her third child

| Updated:

It’s looking a like a case of “And baby makes FIVE” for the Duchess of Cambridge, as she showed off her baby bump for the first time today.

The glamorous Royal – accompanied by husband William and brother-in-law Harry – made a surprise appearance at a special party at London’s Paddington station.

And of course, the mum-to-be was met by the station’s famous namesake – Paddington Bear.

But unfortunately for the marmalade-loving mammal, all eyes were on one area – Kate’s bump.

Since announcing pregnancy with their third child in September, Kate and Will have kept a relatively low profile – well, as low as possible for two of the most famous faces on the planet.

But a hint of a bump was visible beneath the Duchess’ stunning baby pink dress with floral appliqués by Orla Kiely, with a belted waist and boat neckline.

And she completed the stylish look with a black clutch to match the outfit.

The first news of baby number three will be a treat for fans of the other Royal babies in the family.

Firstborn George celebrated his fourth birthday in July, and Princess Charlotte is now two.

Which means the score is currently 1-1 in terms of boys and girls, with the world’s eyes on what the new arrival will be.

With some speculating that Kate’s baby pink dress could be a hint that the expectation is a sister for Charlotte.

Kensington Palace tweeted from their official account: “Their Royal Highnesses meet cast and crew from #Paddington2 who will join guests on their journey through the English countryside. Wishing all of our young guests the trip of a lifetime!”

And Kate showed being pregnant certainly won’t slow her down when Paddington offered her his hand in a dance – even pulling off a nifty spin in her heels.

Kate was all smiles as she took in the festivities, although we expect young George and Charlotte won’t be happy to miss out on meeting the perennial children’s favourite, Paddington.

We’re looking forward to seeing the bump develop at future events, perhaps next time with the Tiger Who Came to Tea, or the Gruffalo.
