Tara Palmer-Tomkinson’s heartbroken sister has spoken for the first time since the socialite’s untimely death.

Author Santa Montefiore posted a gorgeous picture of the one time ‘it girl’  alongside the poignant message, “My darling sister. I miss you. #TaraPalmerTomkinson #tpt #rip (sic)

Her touching words come after she opened up to the Guardian about what life was like with the wild child of the society scene.

She said in the interview that while she was the geeky one at school, Tara was very much the naughty one who would be fooling around with fellas and lighting up behind the bike sheds.

“While I was head of house, vice head of school and played lacrosse for England,’ the author of  Daughters of Castle Deverill revealed, “she was smoking behind the bike sheds or hanging out with all the handsome boys from the boys’ school.”

But Santa says that although they were two very different kind of girls they was never any sibling rivalry.

“We’ve never competed,” she said. “In fact, we’re quick to celebrate each other’s success.”

Meanwhile, Blue hunk Duncan James says he believes that his late friend Tara is finally at peace and safe from her “demons”.

The singer, who now stars in Hollyoaks, has spoken about his devastation over Tara’s sudden death but is happy that she is no longer “scared”.

“I could talk all day about her because that is how much she meant to me,” he told the Sun “So many hearts are broken who knew and loved Tara and she will be missed so very much.”

“She sadly battled many demons and now she will be truly at rest without being frightened or scared.”

Even though the pair were supposedly romantically involved, Duncan says all Tara wanted to do was to find love.

“I know deep down Tara would have loved nothing more than to meet someone, settle down and be happy,” he said.

“We always joked that we would grow old together and be the best of friends for life.”

Tara was found dead at her Earl’s Court flat by her cleaner earlier this week. It’s still unknown as to the cause of death.
