Steph Davis named as alleged victim in Jez McConnell assault claim

The former couple had been trying to rebuild a relationship for sake of son

Earlier we reported that CBB star Jeremy McConnell was being investigated by police over the alleged assault of a woman.

Now the alleged victim has been named as his ex – and mother of his baby – Stephanie Davis.

Allegedly Steph was forced to call police in Liverpool after Jeremy began to act erratically while visiting her home, where she lives with their two-month old son Caben-Albi.

It’s reported that Steph then gave a statement to police.

A rep for the Irish model has announced that he denies all allegations, but is fully cooperating with the investigation.

A police spokesperson has confirmed: “Merseyside Police can confirm a report was received of an assault at a property on Thursday 9 March.

“Officers were contacted on Sunday, 12 March and an investigation into the incident is on-going. At this time no arrests have been made.”

Jez recently relocated to Liverpool to be closer to his son – baby Caben-Albi – who he shares with former Celebrity Big Brother lover Stephanie Davis.

It is understood the 26-year-old is currently back in Ireland, following the tragic death of his aunt.

News of the passing came just days after the McConnell family laid to rest Jez’s father.

“Jeremy has temporarily left Liverpool – where he’s been renting a flat nearby Stephanie’s home – to be with close friends and family in Ireland,” a source told The Sun.

“He needs the support of loved ones during this tough time and has headed home so he can have space to properly grieve.”

Jeremy has endured unimaginable grief in his life – before his recent bereavements, he had also lost his mother, brother and sister.

Last week Jeremy was supported at his father’s funeral by Steph – the exes have been working on rebuilding their relationship for the sake of their son.

She said of the sombre event: “The day was a celebration of his dad’s life. Of course there were happy moments as well as sad moments. It was nice to catch up with Jeremy’s family too.”

However, there have been reports this week that the ex-Hollyoaks actress has unfollowed her baby daddy on social media again.
