Stacey Solomon wades into the Katie Price and Chris Hughes feud

The whole situation is so messy

She’s become friends with Katie Price after working with her on Loose Women, so perhaps it’s no surprise Stacey Solomon has backed her pal when it comes to that war of words with Chris Hughes.

Proving she’s firmly on Team Katie, Stacey, 28, has said she can’t see why Katie would make up the allegations.

Speaking to The Sun, Stacey said: “I don’t think she would outright lie to the public and she’s managed to come up with the proof of what she’s talking about.”

Stacey added: “I admire the fact that she doesn’t care what anybody thinks.”

In case you haven’t been following the whole saga, let us recap briefly. Or it could take all day…

Basically, Katie met Love Island’s Chris, 24, when he was on Loose Women after leaving the villa. There was a bit of flirtation and banter from Katie and they posed together for a snap backstage.

That was it. Or so we thought.

Chris then revealed in an interview that Katie, 39, had been sending him messages, despite knowing he has a girlfriend, Love Island co-star Olivia Attwood.

Katie denied that – but was caught out when Chris posted one of said messages to Twitter.

What followed was an ongoing war of words between the pair including Chris accusing Katie of sending threats to Olivia, Katie saying she has 52 screengrabs proving Chris did reply to her messages despite saying she didn’t, and just general messiness.

It all came to a head this week when Katie showed some of her screengrabs to The Sun, which claims they prove Chris did reply to her and even referred to Olivia as “fame hungry”. Ouch.

Naturally, Chris was FURIOUS and shared a lengthy and very foul-mouthed rant to Twitter before swiftly deleting it because of concern for his younger fans.

Of course, this being social media, everyone managed to screengrab it before the tweet disappeared.

Chris vented: “Katie Price, you’re a piece of rotten [bleep]. I couldn’t give a [bleep] about you. Be a mother, be something respectful, for everyone’s sake.

“I showed your true colours, you couldn’t live with it. You have 52 screenshots on Snapchat since I humiliated you? Comical. I’ve got my whole account history from Snapchat and a media lawyer will [bleep] you up.

“No one deserves your [bleep] and I ain’t one to take it. You [bleep] lives. You have MY number, you can see I haven’t ever sent you [bleep]. You’re washed up and you stink.”

However, Chris then had a change of heart and deleted the rant.

He explained: “I deleted that tweet cus it was disrespectful to younger fans with the language, but meant everything I said. Always back yourself (sic).”

Over to you, Katie….
