Stacey Solomon reveals the REAL reason she was reading her lines

And it's not why you think!

| Updated:

Former X Factor singer and Loose Women panellist Stacey Solomon has hit back at critics who blasted her for not learning her lines for her panto.

You may remember at the tail end of last week, the lovable lass came under attack after she was papped reading her script off a clipboard during a performance of Dick Whittington in Milton Keynes.

Among her many critics was EastEnders and West End star Aaron Sidwell, who Tweeted: “This is shameful. Shouldn’t cash her pay check!”

Jumping to her defence was boyfriend Joe Swash, who savaged Aaron, in a post of his own: “Why don’t you PIPE DOWN mate and do your own thing BADLY!What a little hater YOU you should be ashamed and I will tell you when I see u next.”

But now Stacey has finally broken her silence to explain exactly why she was forced to read her lines off a script.

“I’d just landed, took the boys to school, I’d had no rehearsals, the company was well aware and they still wanted me to do it, ” she revealed on Loose Women.

“I knew my lines but I’d never been on the stage before, and they were conscious of health and safety, so that clipboard was for technical reasons.

“It’s really annoying because I didn’t have it for the evening performance.”

Speaking about boyfriend Joe’s angry online battle with Aaron, she said: “I adore Joe so much and everything he does is out of his heart.

“He saw how hard I worked and how upset I was and I don’t think he appreciated someone in the industry saying something like that.

“I was more scared he’d get a public backlash but I’ve got such an amazing boyfriend.”

Since then, it appears that Aaron and Joe have now patched things up on Twitter. Awww. All’s well that ends well.
