Stacey Solomon reveals annoyance after train passenger accuses her children of being too loud

She was stunned by the attitude

Stacey Solomon has spoken out about an incident she recently experienced when travelling on a train with her family.

The Loose Women star told her fellow panellists on today’s show that she was going to Disneyland Paris with her two children, Zachary, nine, and Leighton, five, and her young niece, when they were approached by an angry passenger.

She said: “I kid you not, we were all sitting there, none of them were screaming or shouting or crying and someone came up to us and went out of his way to say, ‘your noise is travelling all the way down to my seat and it’s disgusting, can you be quiet please’.”

The 27-year-old, who is in a relationship with Joe Swash, said she was stunned by the accusation as she didn’t feel the family were being particularly loud.

She continued: “It was so rude. I was taken aback and thought, ‘Oh My God, are we in the quiet carriage or upper class?’ We weren’t.

“I said, ‘I’m really sorry, I’m with young children and we are going to have conversations and talk’. We were playing cards and getting excited about where we were going, just general chit-chat with your children. I had three with me, I wasn’t going to tell them to be silent for hours.”

The former X Factor star said it was then she who became angry as the person said “to people who worked on the train how outrageous it was that we were being so loud.”

She added: “It was just infuriating. They could have moved. I think they were hoping to get upgraded.”

Stacey’s revelation came as the panel discussed whether it was right for people to name and shame those who annoy them on public transport on social media.

Kaye Adams said to Stacey: “Imagine if on top of that, they’d taken a photo of you and the kids and put it out there on Facebook or Twitter?”

However, Stacey said that wouldn’t have annoyed her as much as the person’s attitude.

“Do you know why this annoys me the most? It’s not because of the name and shame but because someone has a problem with someone being loud on public transport.

“There are certain carriages you can book to go in if you want a quiet carriage,” she argued to a round of applause from the audience.

She added: “If something is really bothering you there is nothing stopping you getting up and moving away. I don’t think people purposely go out of their way to annoy people by having a loud voice.”

Stacey didn’t let the encounter ruin her trip away though as she shared pictures of herself and her family on Instagram having a whale of a time at Disneyland Paris.
