Soap hunk reportedly signs up to I’m A Celeb – days after quitting role

Bosses are said to be hoping he’ll bring romance

It looks like there could be romance in the jungle this year as Hollyoaks hunk Jamie Lomas has been reportedly signed up for the show.

ITV bosses are said to have their fingers crossed that Jamie, who was perviously married to Coronation Street star, Kym Marsh, might catch the eye of one of the single girls in the camp.

Two of the ladies who might catch Jamie’s eye are The Saturdays’ Vanessa White, and Made in Chelsea’s Georgia Toffolo.

An insider told The Sun,“Jamie is a good-looking single guy so they are hoping sparks will fly with one of the single girls in the camp.

“There will be plenty of gorgeous girls in there he could end up hitting it off with.

“And the bosses know viewers love a jungle romance. Jamie is a really down-to-earth, funny bloke but also doesn’t suffer fools. So they think he’s a great signing.”

Jamie is a well-known face to soap fans. He found fame as Hollyoaks’ bad boy Warren Fox, before heading over to EastEnders, where he played recovering alcoholic, Jake Stone.

Most recently Jamie returned to Hollyoaks where he reprised his role as Warren Fox in May 2016.

However, he’s just announced his departure from the show and his dramatic exit is set to be shown on Channel 4 next week.

Speaking of his latest Hollyoaks departure, Jake said “I just want to try other things really. I like to go in and have a little time in Hollyoaks and then try something else. Maybe I’ll go back in time.”

A source close to Jamie reportedly told The Sun last night: “This is a really exciting time for him. He can’t wait to get into the camp, meet his campmates and get stuck into the challenges.

“He isn’t daunted by any of the trials at the moment, but let’s see what happens when he gets out there.”
