Scarlett Moffatt’s phenomenal earnings since I’m A Celebrity… win revealed

A few weeks of jungle discomfort really paid off!

Say what you like about reality TV, but it doesn’t half boost the profiles of the celebs who appear on it (granted, that’s not always been a good thing).

And it appears that some reality stars have made a tidy little earner out of it, too.

According to reports, Scarlett Moffatt has hit the jackpot since winning I’m A Celebrity last year. Before going into the jungle, she said her aim was to buy her parents a caravan one day.

But if the rumours are true, she’s surpassed her own expectations – and then some!

It’s been suggested that the Geordie star, 27, has earned a whopping £1million in the past year.

As well as becoming a regular on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway on ITV, she also landed a gig hosting Channel 4 dating show Streetmate, and has had not one but TWO books published.

And now, she’s all set to co-present ITV2’s I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp alongside Joe Swash and comedian Joel Dommett.

A source told The Mirror: “Scarlett’s personality really shone in the jungle, so now she’s one of the most sought-after names in TV at the moment.

“She’s being very selective about the jobs she takes on, but there are some lucrative deals in the pipeline that are set to net her a tidy sum – her success has been amazing and the opportunities keep piling up.”

Scarlett, who made her name on Channel 4 show Gogglebox, has revealed that she would like to front her own programme one day.

She told The Mirror: “I would love a chat show. I’m nosey and if you say everything with a smile then people tell you more information.”

Scarlett will no doubt be hoping that she can coax some good quotes out of departing celebrities when she begins her presenting role on I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp.

And she’s revealed that Ant and Dec have massively boosted her confidence since she started.

She told The Daily Star: “If they have faith in me, I must be doing something half-decent. It’s like my mum and dad are here.”

We don’t know if Scarlett ever got around to buying her real mum and dad that caravan.

But judging by today’s reports, we reckon she’ll be getting them a mansion before long!
