Anyone that’s gained some weight will know that feeling when you finally step back on the dreaded scales for the first time – and the figure flashing back at you is even higher than you’d feared.
So we can really feel Scarlett Moffatt’s pain as she weighed herself for the first time in ages.
The Gogglebox star was, obviously, aware that she’d piled on the pounds and had already decided to do something about it.

But, in footage released from her upcoming fitness DVD, the Geordie lass can be seen sobbing as she is confronted by just how much timber she’s gained.
In the clip, Scarlett reveals that she lost control of her weight after giving up dancing.
“I must admit, I was a proper exercise avoider, which is weird for me, because up until five years ago I was a keen ballroom dancer and was really into fitness,” she says.
“But as soon as I stopped I just piled the weight back on, and to be honest I was in denial about the changes my body had [gone] through. I couldn’t face up to my weight either, so when I did, it was a bit emotional.”
Then comes the moment she hops on the scales…
“Last time I worked out I was 8st 7lbs. I think that dream has long gone. Right: healthy body, here I come. Oh my God, I feel sick. I’m actually going to vomit.”
Scarlett is expecting her weight to be 9st 7lbs and when her true weight of 11st 4.5lbs is revealed, she starts to cry
Who wouldn’t?! Initially, she’s in denial.
“Oh my god, that cannot be right. I don’t know what to say, that can’t be right. I can’t believe I got to that point.”
“It needs to change, that, it’s not healthy. I’m only 25 and I’m 5ft. It’s not healthy at all, so I’ve just got to work hard.”

Scarlett has now gone on to lose two stone, dropping from a size 16 to a size 10 in just over three months.
