Rylan Clark-Neal is one of the biggest names in television but there’s one fact about him that not many people know – his real name.
Yep, Rylan isn’t his real name. In fact, his actual name is Ross – Ross Richard Clark, to be exact.
On Thursday, the Big Brother’s Bit On The Side host took to Twitter to share a snap of his old decorated school pencil case which featured his birth name.

As well as his name, the pencil case also had written on it “This is Davina, please do not swear,” which is what former Big Brother presenter Davina McCall used to say during live evictions.
Rylan captioned his post: “Clearing out old stuff…. this was my pencil case from 2002 at school.
“Was really weird finding this. Especially knowing what I know now. @bbuk @ThisisDavina (real name is ross btw).”
His fans were stunned to discover that Rylan’s name is actually Ross.
One person commented: “Ross? Why don’t you go by that name then? I’m confused.”
Another asked: “So where did the name Rylan come from?” while a third added:”Mind blown, Ross. Does anyone call you Ross?!”
Rylan changed his name as a teenager when he began his modelling career.
In an interview with Fabulous magazine last year, he revealed his family and friends use his birth name.
He said: “I leave Rylan at my front door and then I’m Ross at home, that’s what [my husband Dan] and my family call me.
“Then the second I walk out of that front door, I’m Rylan because everyone can see it.
“That’s the way I deal with it. It’s not a character or persona, it’s the same person, but Rylan gets away with a lot more.”
The star also insisted that he’s just like the rest of us despite his persona on TV.
He added: “Anyone who knows me will say I’m the most normal bloke you’ll ever meet. I hate the showbiz scene.”
Rylan, who rose to fame on The X Factor in 2012, is getting ready to host the new series of Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side.

Rylan took to Twitter earlier this week to unveil the new Celebrity Big Brother eye.
He posted a picture of the new eye, which is surrounded by dark clouds and is made up of neon lights with lightening bolts running through it.
