Ryan Thomas is reportedly distraught over a video that showed his girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh getting close to another man, something she has insisted was innocent.
Earlier this week, footage emerged showing Lucy, 27, appearing to hug and kiss a man on the cheek while partying in Dubai this month and a source told Mail Online that Lucy appeared “overly friendly” with the man.
However now, a new source has claimed former Coronation Street actor Ryan is “in pieces” over the video.
The source told Mail Online: “He is in pieces over the video – really upset. He’s a pretty forgiving guy and knows how tactile Lucy can be but this footage seems a little more than someone saying good bye.”
Ryan has apparently been consoled by his twin brothers Adam and Scott, 30.
“He’s been asking his friends and brothers what they would think and how they would react if it was their wife or partner in the video and pretty much universally, they’ve all said they wouldn’t be happy,” continued the insider.
ED! has contacted representatives for Ryan and Lucy for comment.
It comes after Lucy slammed the cheating accusation, calling it “ridiculous”.

She tweeted on Wednesday: “Since when has saying goodbye to a friend turned into a cosy night out?! 🤣 #ridiculous?”

Ryan is apparently now taking Lucy’s word and wants to try and move on from the situation.
The insider added: “At the moment he’s taking Lucy’s word at face value because he loves her and he wants to believe she’s telling the truth.”
Just this week, the couple sparked engagement rumours when Ryan shared a picture of Lucy wearing a huge sparkler on her ring finger, as she held his ten-year-old daughter Scarlett.
The loved-up couple also spoke about their plans for an engagement and babies this month.
Ryan told OK! magazine: “I think Lucy wants me to propose next year!”

She said: “You’d better get saving because I want a really heavy left hand [laughs]”.
Former TOWIE star Lucy added: “I wouldn’t waste my time with someone if I didn’t think we were on the same page about children and getting married. I know we both want the same things in the future.”
