Eamonn unimpressed as Ruth FORGETS their wedding date

Oops!

Your wedding day is often described as one of the best and most memorable days of your life.

But during Thursday’s This Morning, Ruth Langsford was left flustered when she couldn’t remember the date she married her hubby Eamonn Holmes!

Ruth made her confession during the show’s fashion segment, which saw stylist Trinny Woodall share her advice on what to wear (and not wear!) to a wedding.

Speaking about his wedding to Ruth, Eamonn said: “We got married in June and it was the hottest day of the year.”

He then asked his wife: “And the date was?”

Ruth replied: “The 30th of June.”

But Eamonn said: “No it wasn’t.”

“It was!” Ruth insisted, as Eamonn pointed out: “It was the 26th of June.”

Realising she had actually got it wrong, Ruth said: “It was the 26th of June,” as she burst into laughter.

“I’m so bad,” Ruth added, putting her cue card over her face.

“There it is, live on national television,” Eamonn said. “Ruth Langsford not knowing when she was married.”

Trinny cut in: “You’re going to pay for that [Ruth]. She’s actually going red!”

But could Eamonn remember the exact details of his wedding date?

Quizzing the Northern Irish presenter, Trinny asked: “What year were you married?”

“I was married seven years ago…” he said as he struggled to remember the exact year.

“I can’t do it in reverse!” he shouted. “2000? 2010?”

“See you don’t know either,” Ruth quipped.

The couple tied the knot on June 26, 2010, and they have one son together.

Earlier this week, the couple opened up about their different views when it comes to embarrassing their 16-year-old son.

While Ruth said she’s always “mindful” of how Jack may feel, Eamonn joked he has no intention of watching what he says to spare their son’s feelings!

Ruth told Bella magazine: “What’s always at the forefront of my mind is that we have a 16-year-old son.

“We know what it’s like being a teenager and how easily your parents can embarrass you – just by breathing sometimes!”

Meanwhile, Eamonn said: “Jack’s embarrassed about everything. I have no intention of being reined in by my children because they’ll be my age soon enough – as I always tell them.”
