It was just a simple gesture but enough to send fans wild!

Nobody else proper loving that Wills and Kate are sitting holding hands? I LOVE THEM.

The sweet moment also excited the presenters on This Morning, who were all gushing over what they called a "rare PDA" between the Cambridges.

One fan tweeted: "Nobody else proper loving that Wills and Kate are sitting holding hands? I LOVE THEM."

Many others agreed, sharing heart emojis to Twitter to reflect their love for the moment.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived without their two eldest children, Prince George, five, and Princess Charlotte, three, who were members of Eugenie's bridal party.

Kate wore a stunning pink Alexander McQueen dress.

The two little royals arrived later on by car, accompanied by Special Attendant Lady Louise, the daughter of the Earl and Countess of Wessex.

As always, little Charlotte thrilled the crowds by giving a series of cute waves as she walked into the chapel.

The pair's little brother Prince Louis, who was born in April, was understandably absent.

She specifically asked for a low back gown to show the scar from her surgery to correct scoliosis at the age of 12.
