Woman in agony after boyfriend rubbed chilli on her tampon as a prank

Part of a disturbing new trend called "cloud lighting"

| Updated:

An internet prankster covered his girlfriend’s tampon in red chilli and filmed her screaming in agony to get “likes” on social media.

YouTuber Brad Holmes’s behaviour exemplifies a disturbing new trend called “cloutlighting” that sees men pull extreme stunts on their long-suffering other halves.

He posted the video onto his Facebook page after recording himself rubbing the seeds of a raw chilli on his partner Jenny’s tampon and putting it back in the applicator.

She then went to the toilet but emerged in severe pain.

Brad continued filming as she desperately splashed water on her private parts before he came clean and showed her the chilli, while laughing at her distress.

The 27-year-old has more than 250,000 YouTube subscribers and regularly pulls pranks on Jenny, who is now his fiancee.

He has cut off a chunk of her hair while she was sleeping and pretended to propose before cruelly telling her it was a joke.

The term “cloutlighting” is a combination of “clout”, a word for social media fame and influence, and “gaslighting” where an abuser manipulates their victims into doubting themselves.

As pranks become more extreme, so the YouTuber’s “clout” increases and they get more and more followers.

Amanda Major, of the charity Relate, told Sun Online: “Placing something in the vagina that you didn’t give permission for is abuse, and a woman on the receiving end of that would be in their right to question their safety within the relationship.”

Brad’s chilli tampon stunt was recorded in 2016.
