Phillip vs Noel: The bitter battle continues!

The telly vets attack each other online.

There’s nothing we love better than a good old celebrity spat.

And while we’re rather enjoying the battle between Louis Walsh, Cheryl and Liam Payne, we are agog at the current online argument between telly legends Noel Edmonds and Phillip Schofield.

The pair have been engaged in a bitter row on Twitter – banging on about a previous upset that happened more than SIX – yes six! – months ago.

Yes, it seems that Noel simply cannot let go of the way Pip Schofe treated him during an interview on This Morning back in the summer.

As you may recall back in June, Noel claimed that negative thoughts could bring on cancer, which Phillip found hard to agree with

Upset by the tone of the interview, Noel raged after the interview: “Phil, if you are unlucky enough to be seriously ill, I promise I wont be so callous and I will show you respect, sympathy and compassion.”

But that wasn’t all. Noel went on to say he felt that Phillip and Holly had been “aggressive, disrespectful and dishonest” during the interview.

Now six months on, Noel hasn’t let it lie and Phillip didn’t waste time in responding.

Writing on Twitter on Thursday, Noel  said: “Negative people are more vulnerable to serious illness and premature death – source Cambridge Institute & today Harvard University.”

But This Morning’s silver fox wasn’t having any of it and replied: “But were they incredibly insensitive and tactless in their delivery of said research?”

“@Schofe I posed a question in response to abuse You corrupted the truth and made a fool of yourself. Your ego is larger than your intellect,” Noel responded.

“@NoelEdmonds must be awful to brood for so long! Are you being negative?” Pip asked including a crying emoji face in his message.

“@Schofe point proved. I rest my case.”

Not to be out done, Phillip sniped back: @NoelEdmonds thank God for that.”

Who’d have thought it, eh? Two telly veterans fighting it out on Twitter!
