Phillip Schofield shares beautiful tribute to his daughter on her graduation day

There was the obligatory family picture too

| Updated:

Phillip Schofield was one proud papa yesterday as he watched his youngest daughter Ruby graduate from university.

He shared a picture of him, his second-born and wife Steph posing around a statue of 2017 – which obviously denotes her year of graduation.

The This Morning host accompanied the playful snap with a simple but obviously proud as punch dedication.

Phil wrote: “Congratulations on your graduation @rubyschofe 😊😊 #Proud”

Dressed in all their finery, the Schofields headed up north to Leeds Beckett University for the ceremony.

Judging by her Instagram, 21-year-old Ruby had finished her studies back in May.

In a picture she shared, she is posing with papers, surrounded by friends, looking jubilant – and no doubt relieved to have all her work out of the way.

Ruby also shared a picture of her big day yesterday, accompanying it with a super-cute message to her gal pals.

She wrote: “1st in my dissertation and a 2:1 over all 🕺🏼🎉🎓 Genuinely couldn’t have done it without these amazing human beans ✨” [sic]

What an awesome result. Brains as well as beauty. And she seems like a really good laugh and all-round good egg, too. Some people really do have it all!

Phil is obviously immensely proud of – and very close to – both his daughters.

Earlier this month he shared an adorable throwback clip of eldest daughter Molly for her 24th birthday, which showed her celebrating her big day as a child.

She can be seen opening all her gifts as her father says: “Why are you getting all these presents Molly? What’s the day?”

She replies: “It’s my happy day.” Bless.

Happy birthday @mollyschofe 24 years, gone in a flash 😘😘
