Peter Andre’s wife Emily says she’s “interested” in own TV show

Could they be TV's next power couple?

Peter Andre’s wife Emily has confirmed she’s open to filming a TV show with her husband.

The 28-year-old doctor has previously shied away from the spotlight and has only appeared on television either by herself or with Peter, 45, a handful of times.

But writing in her weekly OK! Magazine column, the mum of two said she could be tempted to sign up for a TV show with her other half if it was related to health or the medical field.

Emily said: “It is something I find interesting and I think we’d be a good team.

“It would be nice for me to be able to have some time to chat to the patients, as sometimes at work it’s so busy that I don’t get to spend as much time as I’d like with each person.”

She currently juggles her hospital doctor job with caring for daughter Amelia, four, and son Theo, one, as well as step-kids Junior, 13, and Princess, 11, from Peter’s marriage to first wife Katie Price.

Peter has previously said he’s up for doing a medical show suggesting something in the A&E where he’d present and Emily would treat patients.

He told Best magazine in May that he and Emily have often discussed pitching and starring in their own medical-themed programme.

“Doing something that involves the NHS or a night in A&E would appeal to Emily. She’s not that fussed about being on TV, but something health-related like this could work,” he said.

“Emily’s such a sweet, honest girl and her warmth comes across really well on TV.”

Emily has appeared in Peter’s now-finished reality show, and stood in for Dr Hilary Jones as the resident medical expert on ITV’s Lorraine.

Meanwhile, Emily also wrote in her OK! Magazine column this week about rumours Love Island contestant Dr Alex George could forge a career as a TV presenter.

She had championed A&E doctor Alex throughout Love Island.

Emily wrote: “It’s been reported that he’s been lined up for a job on This Morning as a TV doctor, which would be great for him.

“He’s used to being in front of the cameras now and seems very calm and collected which will stand him in good stead!”
