Despite everything that has been going on in his personal life lately, Peter Andre has credited his wife Emily for keeping a smile on his face.
Speaking about their relationship at The Pride of Britain Awards, the 45-year-old singer praised doctor Emily, 28, and her attitude towards life.
He told The Mirror: “She’s wonderful, she’s always smiling, which probably is the reason why I’m always smiling. That does help.”
It comes as Peter’s ex Katie Price is trying to get her financial affairs in order as she faces bankruptcy.
He and Katie are parents to children, Junior, 13, and Princess, 11.
Today, Katie, who recently finished a stint in London rehab facility The Priory, was granted time to negotiate a deal with the taxman over her finances following a High Court hearing. The 40-year-old has now been given until 4 December to form a plan to pay back her debts.

Meanwhile, Pete posted about the Pride of Britain Awards evening to Instagram, writing: “An incredible night celebrating some truly wonderful people. Thanks @prideofbritain.”
Loved-up couple Peter and Emily, who share daughter Amelia, four, and two-year-old Theo, usually always attend glitzy events together, but Pete attended the night solo.
However, he explained that Emily, who he wed in 2015, was only absent from the awards because of the demands of her job.
“I usually don’t go to something without Emily, because we always look forward to this but because it fell on a night when she was working I said I still had to go,” he said.
“Emily works for the NHS so it’s not like she can just say she’s having the night off.”
He added to The Sun: “I’m solo tonight because Emily’s at work and she’s still – at 6.30pm – hasn’t finished yet. We’re a good team, she’s really good.”
Pete, who was married to Katie from 2005 to 2009, has been spending lots of quality time with Princess and Junior lately.
They recently took a trip to Florida and the star has said he likes to keep them busy and distracted from everything that is going on in Katie’s life.

Last month, he opened up to OK! Magazine revealing: “I’m dealing with everything that’s going on at the moment, but I think it’s very important to deal with these things privately and I’m doing so.
“Making sure my kids are protected and away from any negativity is my main priority.”
