Peter Andre reveals first choice for son Theo’s name

Peter has something in common with William and Kate!

Peter Andre has revealed he originally wanted to name his youngest son James or Arthur.

The Mysterious Girl singer and wife Emily welcomed Theo in November 2016, but it seems that Theo was not the only choice of name the couple had in mind.

Writing in his New! magazine column, Pete revealed he also had the names Arthur and James on his list.

He made the admission while discussing the royal baby’s name – Prince Louis Arthur Charles.

Peter wrote: “Along with Arthur, James was one of the bookies’ favourites for his name, and I couldn’t help but smile because they were two of the names I wanted for Theo.

“One of the only reasons we didn’t go for James was because Junior is also a ‘J’and we thought if I called them both Jay for short, it would be confusing.”

Peter is dad to son Junior, 12, and daughter Princess, ten, from his marriage to ex-wife Katie Price, while he and Emily have son Theo and daughter Amelia, four.

Meanwhile, Emily wrote in her OK! magazine column: “I love the new royal baby’s name, Prince Louis. Arthur is his middle name and Pete loved that name for Theo, but it wasn’t my first choice.

“It’s perfect for a royal, though!”

Prince Louis – the third child of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – was born on Monday, April 23 at the Lindo Wing, a private maternity ward at St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London.

He is fifth in line to the throne, behind his granddad Prince Charles, father Prince William, big brother Prince George, four, and big sister Princess Charlotte, two.

Peter previously hinted at struggles in naming little Theo, who remained nameless for more than a week after his birth.

At the time, Peter wrote in his New! column that Oscar and Arthur were possibilities, but Emily wasn’t keen.

“We’re nowhere near choosing a name yet, though,” he added.

He later tweeted that Theodore, James and Benjamin had been added to the list, along with others that his children didn’t like.

In the end, it was Theodore that stuck, with Peter and Emily choosing Theodore James Andréa.
