Peter Andre has paid tribute to his late brother Andrew, who passed away after a short battle with kidney cancer in 2012.

The Aussie singer took to Instagram on Saturday to share an emotional quote to mark five years since his brother died.

Pete, 44, captioned the post: “Miss you every day my brother.”

The quote read: “Siblings will take different paths and life may separate them… but they will forever be bonded by having begun their journey in the same boat.”

Of course, fans offered their support for the dad-of-four.

One person commented: “Thinking of you and your family!”

Andrew, who was diagnosed with kidney cancer in February 2012, appeared to be responding well to treatment but his situation worsened in the November.

He died on December 16, aged 54, with the Andrew family at his bedside.

Earlier this month, Pete spoke about wishing he could “spend another Christmas” with Andrew.

“If I could turn back time my wish would be to spend another Christmas with him,” the star revealed.

Peter spoke about Andrew as he visited Marie Curie’s memory-powered tree in London.

“We were never able to spend Christmas together as we were never in the same country at the same time,” he continued. “The only year we did was the year Andrew sadly died.”

“He’s always in my thoughts but especially at this time of year,” Pete added.

The reality star also dedicated a social media post about the tree to his sibling.

He tweeted: “Lighting up @mariecurieuk’s Christmas tree in memory of my brother Andrew. #LightUpXmas.”

At the time of Andrew’s death, a rep for Pete said: “Peter is devastated. He was very, very close to his brother.

“This is the very first family member Peter has experienced losing. He just needs time to grieve.”
