The news comes as the couple’s relationship has been in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons recently after Paddy, 44, was seen out partying with Nicole Appleton, 43.

According The Sun, it’s this “betrayal” that swung Christine’s decision to allow cameras into their lives.

Their source said: “Christine has been given the chance to be in the spotlight. She has been through a tough time since feeling betrayed by Paddy and is looking forward to having a new focus.”

Christine, with whom he has twins Penelope and Leo, aged four, and one-year-old Felicity, was at home in Cheshire at the time.

The couple are said to have had some “very heated and emotional arguments” since but The Sun On Sunday reported they have reconciled after the TV presenter convinced his wife the night out was innocent.

Neither Paddy or Christine have publicly commented on the incident.
