Poor old Katie Price seems to get it in the neck from her critics at every turn, so you can’t blame her for wanting to shun the limelight for a while and take her kids on a foreign holiday.
But sadly, she’s now facing another backlash after she even managed to make a mess of that.
The former model, 38, was whisking her five kids off to the Maldives for a break when an airport worker discovered that her daughter Princess’s passport was close to expiring. There were only five months left on the document, and six months is the minimum for international travel.
But rather than cancel the holiday and head home to organise a new passport for the nine-year-old, Katie made a decision that’s causing yet another storm on social media.
She jetted off without her daughter.
“The other day, I was put in a situation,” she confessed on today’s Loose Women. “I was flying abroad, obviously with all the kids, and then the guy behind the counter asked: ‘Which one is Princess? She can’t fly.'”

“There were no other flights the rest of the week where we could get seven seats, so I had to leave her with a family member.”
Predictably, though, not everyone is impressed with how Katie resolved the issue. “I couldn’t do that,” said one Twitter commentator. “I would of [sic] sent the family on with Kieran and stayed behind with my kid until we could fly back and join them.”
“Says it all about Jordan,” tweeted another.
Katie’s parenting skills have come under scrutiny a lot lately. Earlier this week, she was slammed on Instagram for allowing Princess to wear her lipstick.
And she also raised eyebrows when she revealed that she lets her two youngest kids, Jet, three, and Bunny, two, “pee and poo” in the back garden.
Luckily, this particular story had a happy ending.
“[Princess] got on another plane with another airline the next day, and it was fine,” said Katie, who’s married to part-time stripper Kieran Hayler, 30.

“But it was like Final Destination – what if I get on the plane and something happens, or I stayed and something happens to the family?”
You can rest assured she would never have lived it down.
