He reveals surprise at seeing his replacement

But his excitement about taking a seat on the judging panel was shot down when it was announced that Louis Walsh was being brought back to the show instead.

“It was kind of surprising to see me essentially being replaced by Louis Walsh,” the dad-of-one admitted.
You could understand if he’s feeling a bit gutted because, unlike the other members of One Direction, he has been loyal to Simon and is the only one of them to have remain signed to his label.
Meanwhile, Louis has revealed that when he first heard that bandmate Liam Payne and Cheryl Tweedy were dating, he didn’t believe they were long haul.

‘I’m not going to lie, I wasn’t 100 per cent,” the open chap told The Sun.

“I’m not saying I didn’t buy it – of course I did. It was just a little bit surprising for me at first.”

Louis added that an “excited” Liam had tried to “play it cool” when it came to him breaking the news to him!

Meanwhile, Louis has revealed that we might have to wait a while for that long-awaited One Direction reunion.

He says that the boys are so busy with their various projects that the idea is the furthest thing from heir minds.

“Honestly, I just think it’s too difficult to say [when the band will reunite], especially with someone like Harry, who’s got so much potential,” he told The Sun.

“It’s just kind of a confusing place for him to be as an individual, to be like, ‘OK, what is next?'”
