She’s now back in the UK, however, to resume duties on the new series of X Factor.

Auditions for the 14th series of X Factor are currently underway, with Nicole returning as a judge alongside Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne.

Nicole was absent from the first audition date in Manchester because of a previous work commitment, meaning Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon stepped in as her temporary replacement.

A source previously told The Sun that X Factor boss Simon wanted to retain the same judging line up as last year because it worked so well.

“The chemistry was perfect last year, so it’s only natural to want to bring the same line-up together again,” said an insider.

“It’s usually hard to get people’s schedules to align but for the first year it has worked out.”
