Nick Knowles denies estranged wife’s abuse claims amid divorce battle

His rep spoke on his behalf

Nick Knowles has firmly denied claims from his estranged wife Jessica Moor of “emotional cruelty and abuse”.

The DIY SOS star is currently embroiled in a very public divorce battle that took an ugly twist this week.

Today, his rep rubbished the accusations made by Jessica, adding the TV star would not be drawn into a public slanging match.

Jessica, 30, took to Twitter on Friday to blast Knowles with a series of accusations against the 55-year-old.

She claimed: “As all parents can relate, children starting school is an incredibly emotional and happy time.

“I did not submit a submission for Eddie as it has been long agreed by my (soon to be ex) husband that Eddie would be privately educated — a luxury he is in the position to afford, as he has done for all his other children.

“As such, Eddie is enrolled to start private school this September (a school that me and my husband visited and chose together) except that he won’t, as I was advised by my husband’s solicitor that this promise has been withdrawn.”

She alleged: “After years of intimidation, emotional cruelty, abuse and eventually isolation (that I have kept silent about — of which I have diaries and images), this is the straw that broke the camel’s back.

“To add insult to injury – like many men in his position of wealth and power he has advised he will not pay any legal fees meaning that I cannot afford to fight for our son’s education.”

Nick’s rep told The Mirror: “These allegations are not true but Nick will not be responding publicly in an attempt to minimise the negative impact on his son.”

And a so-called insider told The Sun that Nick, who recently launched a singing career, had been left “extremely hurt” by the accusations.

They added: “He won’t be drawn into a public slanging match with Jess and wishes her nothing but the best.”

Nick instead has been tweeting about rugby matches and Persian salads on social media.

It is a major departure from last November when Nick appeared on Lorraine and gushed about his soon-to-be ex-wife.

He told the ITV show: “[I have] a fantastic relationship [with her].

“I can’t say enough about Jess – she’s the most amazing, amazing mum. She’s the most amazingly calm human being.”

And the pair seemed amicable when they shared a holiday to Barbados with three-year-old son Eddie last month.

The couple met in 2009 but announced they were splitting in January 2016 after three years’ of marriage.

But they got back together in July 2016 when Jessica was diagnosed with cervical cancer, only to split again in December, by which time she had recovered.

Nick’s representatives said they had no comment to make on the matter when contacted by Entertainment Daily.
