One labourer told The Sun: “We’d hear her walking around up there.

“But last Friday we heard a very loud bang in the afternoon – like someone or something falling over.

“We hadn’t seen her or heard her since then.”

It has also just been revealed that the popular TV personality’s cleaner found her.

The Portuguese worker, who is in her 30s, arrived at her £1.6million flat and was overheard crying by the builders.

A police spokesperson also told The Sun: “Police were called by London Ambulance Service at approximately 13:40hrs on Wednesday, 8 February to an address in south-west London.

“A woman, aged in her 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been informed.

“The death is being treated as unexplained. At this early stage, police are not treating the death as suspicious.

“Inquiries into the circumstances are ongoing. The Coroner has been informed.”

On Thursday morning, TV presenter Holly Willoughby recalled how generous and kind Tara was.

Chatting to her co-host Phillip Schofield, she said: “I was lucky enough to know her too.

“She was incredibly funny and incredibly generous with her time and spirit.”

Reminiscing about their first meeting, Holly said: “The first time I met her, it just summed up her childlike character.

“She came over to our table and yelled, ‘You know a very good friend of mine.’

“She had this incredible diamond ring and she just brushed it off as, ‘This is just a bit of tat from Chanel,’ and she said, ’You have it!’”

Laughing, Holly said she said she couldn’t possibly take it, but Tara threatened to hurl the ring across the restaurant if she didn’t, so she kept it.

There was also another occasion where Tara dressed her up for an event. She picked out a black dress, Chanel handbag and platform stilettos for her.

The blonde mum-of-three said: “I’d just had Belle and I had an event but I felt quite big and dumpy. She said to come back to hers and drink wine and we went through her wardrobe for hours.

“She was a real girls girl.”
