It's yet another break from tradition for the newly engaged couple

She’s already shaken up the Royal Family, and now Prince Harry’s fiancee Meghan Markle is livening up their Christmas Day celebrations too.

It’s been announced by Kensington Palace that Meghan will spend Christmas with the family at Sandringham this year.

The family will go to the morning service at St Mary Magdalene Church on Christmas Day.

“You can expect to see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and Ms Markle at Sandringham on Christmas Day,” a Kensington Palace spokesperson confirmed.

Meghan joining the Royals is a break from the tradition that normally means partners aren’t invited until the couple actually tie the knot.

The Duchess of Cambridge had to wait until she and Prince William were hitched before she got the invite to spend Christmas Day with the Queen and the rest of the family.

They also got engaged in November, but it wasn’t until they actually tied the knot the following year that Kate was asked to join the festive celebrations.

And rugby star Mike Tindall also had to wait before he’d made things official with Zara Phillips before he was allowed to join the Royals at Sandringham.

But Meghan, who described the Queen as an “incredible woman”, has obviously won the hearts of her new in-laws, and has been invited along for the day.

She and Harry announced their engagement last month, prompting much excitement among Royal fans.

And there was a huge turn out when the cute couple went on their first walkabout together in Nottingham.

The couple will get married on Saturday, May 26 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
