Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex was seen sharing a sweet moment with The Queen on their first royal engagement together.
The former actress joined Her Majesty in Cheshire on Thursday for a series of engagements, starting with the opening of the Mersey Gateway Bridge.
Meghan, 36, was seated next to the 92-year-old monarch at a ceremony to mark the bridge’s opening, followed by a performance from local schoolchildren.
Meghan and The Queen were pictured deep in conversation, with The Queen pointing things out to the royal family’s newest member.
Former Suits star Meghan looked deep in concentration as she listened to the monarch.
The royals were seated on a stage to watch schoolchildren perform a display called ‘Bringing Communities Together: Halton’s River Crossings Over The Ages’.
They were pictured laughing and smiling between them during the event.
Meghan and The Queen arrived in Cheshire on Thursday morning after travelling overnight on the Royal Train.
After meeting architects, planners and community representatives at Mersey Gateway Bridge, the royals travelled to Chester for the second round of the day’s engagements.
They will be given a tour of Storyhouse theatre and meet various groups of schoolchildren and performers, who will give them performances of their latest works and projects.
A plaque will be unveiled by The Queen.
Meghan and The Queen’s day will finish with lunch at Chester Town Hall, hosted by Chester City Council.
This is the first time Meghan has joined The Queen for an engagement, and the first time Meghan has undertaken an engagement without her husband, The Duke of Sussex.

Meghan became a member of the royal family when she married Prince Harry at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19.
The newlyweds were gifted the titles The Duke and Duchess of Sussex by The Queen on their wedding day.
Meghan and Harry have kept a low profile since their wedding, attending just two public events.
They were at a garden party at Buckingham Palace on May 22 to celebrate Prince Charles’ 70th birthday, and joined The Queen on the palace’s balcony over the weekend for Trooping The Colour.
It’s been rumoured the pair’s absence from the spotlight was because they were on honeymoon, although that has not been confirmed by Kensington Palace.
To protect the couple’s privacy, details of a honeymoon would not be released publicly, although destinations including Ireland, Canada and Africa were touted as strong possibilities.
Meanwhile, Meghan and Harry, 33, will travel to Sydney, Australia, Fiji and Tonga this autumn, tying in with the launch of the fourth Invictus Games in Sydney in October.

The games, founded by Harry, feature wounded military veterans competing in various sporting events.
It has been announced the 2020 Invictus Games will be held in the Netherlands.
