Mark Wright in talks for football career with Billericay Town FC stake

The former TOWIE star is said to be focusing on football

Reality TV star Mark Wright is currently in talks for something of a career change.

According to reports the star is planning on putting aside his showbiz career and taking to the football pitch instead.

The 30-year-old is in talks to take a 20 per cent stake in his local club Billericay Town FC.

Footy lover Mark spent his childhood playing for West Ham, Arsenal and Tottenham’s academies.

A source told The Sun: “Mark has always loved football and is known for being a talented player, but obviously he never quite made it to the big time.

“He sees this as a great way to get involved with the sport and hopes to make a real impact.

“They’re very ambitious about where the club could end up.”

Mark, who is married to actress Michelle Keegan, is set to work alongside his millionaire pal Glenn Tamplin.

Glenn manages and owns the local team.

The source added: “Glenn and Mark have been friends for some time.

“Glenn believes ­having a famous face involved could give the club a publicity boost so he proposed the deal.”

And Mark’s level of stardom is definitely helping the team’s publicity already as his appearance last week gained the club their biggest attendance of the year.

Meanwhile Essex-born Mark and Michelle, 29, have been determined to show the world they are as happy as ever.

Despite rumours suggesting the couple were having relationship issues the pair have been sharing snaps to show there is still a lot of love in the air.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the brunette beauty said: “We are very good and everything is fine. Our marriage is going really well.”
