Mark and Michelle share sweet snaps as they celebrate anniversary

The couple both took breaks from their careers to spend the weekend on the Isle of Fernandos

Actress Michelle Keegan has managed to take a break from filming for her latest drama, Our Girl, to spend some quality time with hubby Mark Wright.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2015, jetted off to the Isle of Fernandos to celebrate their second wedding anniversary.

The pair spent the day wine tasting and exploring the romantic island – and even gave fans a glimpse on their Instagram.

They shared several videos and photos on their social media accounts as they took a bus tour through the mountains and enjoyed exploring the island’s vineyards.

In one snap, posted by former Corrie star Michelle, the two can be seen enjoying a lunch date including wine and cheese.

The Tina & Bobby actress captioned the pic: “Anniversary,” followed by a red love heart.

In another the couple appeared to be travelling from multiple vineyards as they enjoyed the sunshine as Mark wrote: “On to the next vineyard.”

Mark shared another picture of him and Michelle enjoying a bus tour in the mountains as he wrote: “On our way home from wine tasting to watch THE GOSSIP ITV2 9pm.”

Due to their extremely busy schedules the couple have previously opened up about the struggle of being apart for long periods of time.

Michelle, who is currently working on Our Girl series three, recently jetted off to Nepal and South Africa to start filming for several months.

Meanwhile Mark, 30, has been flying to and from Los Angeles after reportedly landing a huge Hollywood TV role.

But the pair have insisted their marriage can still work as Mark revealed he will be “going back and forth” to see his wife.

Apparently the star has landed a TV presenting job for a US show, Extra.

A source told The Sun: “This is a massive gig for Mark.

“It will put him in the homes of millions of Americans every day.

“He’s been out in LA for the past few weeks having meetings with the major networks and all the noises are very positive.”

Meanwhile Michelle, 29, is getting stuck into her role as Georgie Lane on BBC’s Our Girl – which is set to air later this year.

Last week the first photos emerged of the new series.

The BBC shared the first pic of Michelle in her role as Lance Corporal Georgie as she posed in her army uniform.

Previously speaking about landing the role for a second series Michelle said: “I’m so happy to be shooting the new series of Our Girl out in Nepal and so very excited to bring more stories of Georgie Lane to life.

“It’s an amazing experience to be working on such important stories with such an incredible group of people.”
