Love Island’s Dr Alex receives Ofcom complaint

Yes, it involved his manhood...

He’s been Mr Nice Guy this whole series, but it’s seems like Love Island viewers may be turning on Dr Alex George.

TV regulator, Ofcom has confirmed they received a complaint after an incident on the show that aired earlier this week between Dr Alex and his partner, Alexandra Cane.

Describing their night in the hideaway, Alexandra, 27, told the female contestants: “He grabbed my hand, opened his shorts and…”

She then demonstrated how he had made her touch him, before adding: “I didn’t stay down there very long.”

“It all happened very fast but it did happen.”

She was laughing in the clip, but many were clearly not amused.

Fans of the show watching from home didn’t seem impressed by the incident, with one tweeting: “Anyone fancy getting together for group therapy to try and get over our collective trauma at Alex’ penis being mentioned? #loveisland”.

Some were even stronger, writing: “So no one’s going to mention how disgusting it is that Alex shoved Alexandra’s hand in his shorts without her consent? He’s lucky she didn’t get angry about it. So gross, women aren’t sex objects you can be forceful with #loveisland”.

A third added furiously: “Didn’t think I’d have to say this but here we go: MEN, DO NOT FORCE A WOMAN TO TOUCH YOUR JUNK JUST DON’T DO IT DON’T LEAD HER HAND TO YOUR STUFF AND PUSH IT DOWN YOUR SHORTS DO NOT DO IT JUST STOP. THIS IS A PSA. #loveisland Alex is a creep.”

OK! Magazine report that Ofcom have confirmed the complaint, saying: “We had one complaint which we will assess against the broadcasting code before deciding whether to take it on to investigation.”

It comes after Wednesday’s episode saw the contestants take on the classic baby challenge.

Despite Alexandra admitting she is “broody”, Dr Alex failed the test miserably, even knocking their doll out on the ground during a race.
