Loose Women’s Andrea McLean assures Lorraine she IS married after wedding “kerfuffle”

Nearly a disaster!

Andrea McLean has assured she is legally married despite her wedding ceremony being stopped mid-way through.

The Loose Women star appeared on ITV’s Lorraine on Thursday where she recounted the story of how a guest at her December nuptials nearly derailed the whole thing!

Andrea, 48, married Nick Feeney in London just before Christmas.

But during the ceremony, her photographer friend, Nicky Johnston, thought it would be funny to speak out when the guests were asked if anybody knew of any reason why Andrea and Nick should not wed.

Andrea explained: “We had been working together a little while before and he went, ‘Oh, do you know what I’ve always wanted to do at a wedding? You know the moment when they say, does anyone here know… I’ve always wanted to put my hand up and really theatrically say something!'”

She continued: “We had a laugh then when they did say, ‘does anyone here have any reason…’ I kind of glanced at him and he went, ‘Well, actually…’ and the whole thing stopped!

“The registrar shouted across the room, ‘stop the wedding!’ and Nicky said, ‘Oh, no, I was only joking!’

“She said, ‘This is a serious, legally binding ceremony.’

“There was a little bit of a kerfuffle, we all went a little bit awkward, and then it carried on.

Laughing, she then flashed her wedding ring at Lorraine, insisting: “I am married, though!”

Andrea previously discussed her wedding mishap on Loose Women last year, saying: “It was one of those things: the bigger the disaster you survive, the funnier it is later!”

She and Nick met in 2013 after they were set up on a blind date. In August last year, Nick popped the question while the couple were enjoying a romantic break in Paris.
