Kym Marsh has revealed she sought emergency help after developing a “bad pain” while training for a half marathon.
The Coronation Street actress wrote in her latest OK! Magazine column that when the pain became too much to handle, she went to the Accident & Emergency at her local hospital.
She had been training for the Manchester Half Marathon on October 14.
Kym, 42, wrote: “A few weeks ago I had a bad pain in my right side. I was in agony so I ended up going to A&E at Salford Royal, who were brilliant.

“I had a scan and they did some blood tests. I was sent home and told to see my doctor if it continued, and it did come back but not as badly.
“They haven’t found anything and told me it could be hormonal or muscular – it’s in my groin so it could be the training.
“I feel fine, so we’ll see what the tests say.”
Kym has signed up to run the Manchester Half Marathon for Tommy’s charity, which funds research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, and provides pregnancy health information to parents.
It’s a cause close to Kym’s heart after the devastating loss of her son Archie in 2009, who was born 18 weeks early and tragically died just moments after his birth.
Kym is also mum to daughter Polly, seven, and elder children David, 22, and Emilie, 20.
The star – who plays Michelle Connor in Corrie – split from boyfriend Matt Baker in April after three years together.
She’s now dating Army Major Scott Ratcliff, who serves in the parachute regiment.
The couple made their red carpet debut together over the weekend, attending a party in Manchester to celebrate Adam and Scott Thomas’ 30th birthday.
Meanwhile, Kym also wrote in her OK! column that she’d recently spent time with Scott’s family.
“Polly was with her dad [Jamie Lomas], so I took advantage of that and had a couple of days away with Scott and his family,” she said.
“We visited the National Wallace Monument in Stirling with Scott’s mum Ali. I found it interesting.”
