Kym Marsh reveals eldest daughter’s surprise Hollywood connection

A whole new career for Kym's daughter!

Kym Marsh has revealed her eldest daughter Emilie recently served as Lindsay Lohan’s make-up artist.

The Coronation Street actress wrote in her OK! magazine column that Emilie met the Hollywood actress at London Fashion Week.

Emilie works for House of Evelyn, who did the make-up of a few celebrity guests – including Lindsay!

She wrote: “Emilie was nervous because Lindsay’s a film star and she wondered what she’d be like, but apparently she was an absolutely lovely woman and was super sweet to our Emilie, which was really lovely to hear.”

Kym, 41, added that Lindsay told Emilie, 20, she was really happy with the finished make-up result. Hurrah!

“I was dead proud of my daughter,” said Kym, suggesting that maybe Emilie will be a celebrity make-up artist.

Emilie, whose dad is Kym’s ex partner Dave Cunliffe, has said she wants a singing career, auditioning for The Voice back in 2015.

But unfortunately, she failed to get past the blind auditions stage.

Kym told The Sun that she hadn’t pressured Emilie to follow in her popstar footsteps, hoping Emilie could have a music career like her mum did with Hear’Say.

“This had to be one hundred million per cent her choice,” said Kym.

“She couldn’t be going into a show like this unless it was. If I forced her, it would come falling down on top of me, but this is all she ever wanted to do.”

Despite not getting through The Voice’s blind auditions, Emilie vowed not to give up on her music dream.

She tweeted: “Thanks everyone for all my amazing feedback on my @BBCTheVoiceUK audition! I will never give up, I’m determined to make my dream come true.”

Emilie joined Kym on Loose Women back in 2016 where she also spoke about her ambitions to crack the music scene.

She had just flown in from Ibiza, where she was promoting her debut single, which she co-wrote.

Kym told the panel: “I was 24 when I went into Popstars and Emilie is only 18, but she’s been doing this since she was a little girl and when she said this is what she wanted to do, I couldn’t be a hypocrite and say, no, go be a lawyer instead.

“Part of you is like, ‘really, you don’t want to do something else a bit stable?’ but it’s all she’s ever wanted to do and she’s really good. If she wasn’t, I’d tell her.”
