Katie Price says kids were scared of her “puffy alien” face after surgery

She's happy with her appearance after having a second surgery

Katie Price has admitted her kids were “scared” when she first revealed the results of her face lift.

The 39-year-old had a thread face lift done last year but, as she was unhappy with the results, she had the threads removed and a second mini face lift to correct the damage.

Speaking to OK! magazine, the former glamour model admitted her children Junior, 12, and Princess, ten, had been alarmed when they saw her face after the first procedure.

“Princess and Junior were scared when I removed the bandages – I looked like a puffy alien!” she recalled.

Katie received plenty of criticism for her new look – but she told the magazine it wasn’t the look she’d initially hoped for and she was also unhappy.

“Everyone was like, ‘What have you done to your face?’ I absolutely hated it and it was getting worse and worse,” she said.

“I was being absolutely crucified for how I looked and I’m not surprised – I looked dreadful.”

Thankfully, Katie is now “really pleased” with how she looks, after flying to Belgium to have a mini face lift to fix her appearance.

Her full interview is in this week’s OK! magazine, out everywhere on Tuesday.

Katie revealed her concerns over the results of the first face lift surgery during a chat with the Cambridge Union in February, saying: “People have surgery to look like me even though my surgery went wrong and I’m getting it sorted on Wednesday.”

In a later chat with New magazine, her spokesperson said Katie needed the second mini face lift to correct damage left behind when she had the threads from her earlier face lift removed.

“The work she’s done this time was restorative work so she could get back to looking like her,” said Katie’s agent.

“She was really upset at the time. It knocked her confidence completely, but she feels better already.

“She’s got swelling but she’s fine. She feels better already. She can tell the difference straight away.”

Before having the restorative surgery, Katie told the Sun On Sunday that “maybe, with hindsight” she should have researched her initial face lift surgery more.

“Choosing the right place to do the right procedure is vital,” she said.

“Maybe, with hindsight, I should have thought twice before jumping in. I wasn’t happy with the outcome last time and didn’t like the way I looked.”

She also vowed she’ll never have surgery on her face again.
