Katie Price cancels gig due to urgent matter with police and one of her kids

She was due to perform in Manchester

Katie Price has sparked concern among fans after being forced to cancel a show tonight due to “an urgent family matter involving the police and one of my children”.

The former model, 39, is on a nationwide talking tour, An Audience With Katie Price, and was due to appear at Manchester’s Opera House this evening.

However, she posted a message on Twitter this morning warning her followers that she wouldn’t be able to attend.

The Loose Women panellist wrote: “Unfortunately, I have been left with no choice than to postpone my show in Manchester this evening due to an urgent family matter involving the police and one of my children.

“For all my fans and for everyone that has bought tickets to tonight’s show, I am sorry to let you down last minute.

“This is something out of my control. Please contact the box office for more information.”

It’s anyone’s guess as to what the issue is, or which of her five children it involves, but fans of the star offered their sympathies regardless.

One tweeted: “Awww, had been due to attend this tonight, but I hope @KatiePrice and her family are OK.”

Another wrote: “You just concentrate on [your] kids and family, Katie hun. Your fans understand. We all love you. Hope all will be OK. Huge hugz xxxxxx.”

And a third fan soothed: “Priorities first, hun. You’re a fantastic mum. Hope all is OK xx.”

But not all of her fans were understanding, and some were left angry by the cancellation.

One of her followers on Twitter described it as “another fake drama”.

A second fan wrote: “So Katie Price has cancelled. Paid so much for hotel. Fuming. I was buzzing as well.”

And referring to Katie’s eldest son, a third speculated: “Either this is to do with Harvey, or just an excuse to cancel.”

Katie recently told her fellow Loose Women panellists that she closely monitors her children’s mobile-phone usage.

“I make it clear to them that they never send people pictures of anything,” she explained. “I make it all private.”

Whatever the reason for cancelling tonight’s show, we hope everything’s alright…
